Advisor Announcement — Stephen Blum
Etherprise is excited to add Stephen Blum, Founder and CTO of PubNub, to its advisory board. PubNub is a global-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platform used by customers like Coca Cola, McDonalds, and CBS, and over 2,000 more. PubNub has partnered with IBM, Microsoft, ESRI, SendGrid, New Relic and many more to deliver out-of-the box integrations.
Stephen and his team raised over $50M from powerhouse firms Sapphire Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, and corporate arms Ericsson and Cisco. He is the original architect and developer of the core PubNub engine that has been named a top enterprise app multiple times, and processes trillions of realtime transactions per month with a guaranteed 250ms or less response time for some of the largest realtime deployments in the world.

Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge around massive-scale enterprise deployments, scaling high-performance messaging systems, realtime delivery engines, and building successful businesses around global-scale network usage. He has tremendous experience with security and compliance, building PubNub to support TLS and AES256 encryption, along with custom encryption models. EU customers can route data streams and store messages within the EU to adhere to GDPR and PII compliance. In his spare time, Stephen built an implementation of the PubNub core engine on the blockchain to support realtime, immutable message delivery.
