We are excited to announce Etherprise, an Ethereum-based blockchain built for the enterprise. With a focus on privacy, security and performance, Etherprise will enable business use cases that are not possible today.

Blockchain has the potential to change the way the world does business. From healthcare companies sharing patient information with networks of hospitals to hundreds of companies in a single products supply chain, Enterprises rely on software to coordinate these activities across thousands of transactions per second. There are many decentralized blockchain networks focused on public transactions (store of value) and some focused on smart contracts and DApps, but few if any focused on the innovations necessary to bring the power of the blockchain to the Fortune 500. Etherprise solves this through a decentralized network that has end-to-end encryption of data both at rest and in flight, as well as many other critical privacy and security features that enterprise companies need before adopting blockchain.

Why Etherprise?

We saw a huge gap in the blockchain ecosystem with plenty of projects focused just on transactions (the currency part) and some focused on smart contracts and DApps, but no public networks that have private smart contracts and enterprise grade security. Public networks like Ethereum are perfect for many things, in particular public ownership of assets like tokens, company shares, real estate and virtual kitties, but they can’t be used for a lot of use cases that require privacy. The existing public networks allow anyone to easily read the data stored on the blockchain and anyone can attempt to interact with a smart contract. For business uses cases like payroll, sales commissions, the lead up to a real-estate transfer, and b2b contracts, you simply can’t use a public, transparent network unless you want the world to know every detail.

Etherprise enables these business use cases by ensuring smart contract data is encrypted and only accessible to people are given explicit access. When compared to existing blockchains in terms of security where anyone can access everything, Etherprise sits on the opposite end of the spectrum where nobody can access anything until given the rights to access it.

Why Us?

The Etherprise team has decades of experience in enterprise software, coming from companies such as Oracle, Microsoft and IBM. The team has deep knowledge and expertise in the enterprise space and know what it takes to build software for the enterprise. The team has also built successful technology startups in the past and raised $10’s of millions from top tier VC firms such as Bain Capital and Sapphire Ventures.
