“AirdropMe is officially the cheapest bulk distribution tool on the market” Here’s how to save thousands of $$$$ when distributing airdrops

AirdropMe.io is a game-changing new web3 dApp that is making airdrops on Ethereum popular again — On many networks for that matter. It dramatically reduces the lower (but still high) costs of airdrops on other blockchains too. Additionally, AirdropMe.io puts the choice in the airdrop distributor’s hands about who should pay the commission. Read on for more…

Why Airdrop?

Airdrops have been a popular method of growing awareness of crypto tokenized projects and growing engaged audiences and communities.

One of the most famous and well implemented of these was the Uniswap airdrop. Uniswap distributed 400 UNI tokens to all their retroactive users.

At the time, the price was ranging between $2 and $4, and many sold their tokens for a nice “free” profit. Those who held on, however, saw the price surge to upwards of $30 per token.

This resulted in lots of positive talk about Uniswap and many users developed deep gratitude and trust for the project. Not only was Uniswap able to show great appreciation for early adopters of their project but it turned out to be a brilliant marketing exercise too.

Since then the Ethereum gas price has been steadily rising, turning more and more organisations off using airdrops to reward their communities or turning them to Layer 2 networks.

This is totally understandable when the fees are examined.

What Are The Usual Fees?

Let’s say you have ERC20 or native tokens to drop to 1000 people, using other distribution dApp, you’d pay:

  1. A network gas fee to load up your tokens for distribution to the bulk distribution app
  2. A fee to use the bulk distribution tool
  3. And finally the gas fee for the actual token distribution
  4. Quite often projects will let users claim the airdrop (to avoid scam dropping to wallets) which will cost the user a claim transaction fee.
  • Using currently available tools on the market, it could cost upwards of $20 000 in gas fees alone (not including the tx fee to fund the distribution wallet).
  • On mainnet Ethereum, airdropping 1 ETH to 10 000 people would cost a staggering $260 000.
  • That’s not including distribution tool fees or, if you’re developing your own tool, the time and dev expenses incurred.

Enter AirdropMe…

AirdropMe.io slashes token distribution fees and is now the cheapest tool on the market of airdrops and reward distribution. Move over Robin Hood, here comes AirdropMe.io

  • With AirdropMe you can flip the model above on its head by ONLY paying for ONE transaction gas fee when loading up your tokens to distribute!
  • This significantly cuts your fees and costs
  • You’ll have the flexibility to choose if you’d prefer to pay the tool commission or if your users should split this fee into many small, manageable amounts when claiming.
  • Additionally, AirdropMe is an accessible tool available to all. You don’t need to code anything. Anyone can send tokens easily via the AirdropMe.io dApp — no tech skills required!
  • AirdropMe quickly distributes your tokens to be claimed by your target audience.
  • Hey presto! Your airdrop is done quickly and cheaply.

Which Blockchains are Supported?

You can airdrop ERC20 or native tokens to your community members on any of Etherspot.io SDK’s (airdrop is built on Etherspot SDK) supported chains. Currently these are: Ethereum, Polygon, Gnosis, BNB, Fantom, Avalanche, Aurora, Moonbeam, Optimism and Arbitrum with more to come very soon.

What Can You Expect to Pay Using AirdropMe?

Sticking to the same example used for other airdrop distribution tools above, here is what you can expect to pay using AirdropMe.io:

Let’s say you have ERC20 or native tokens to drop to 1000 people on Ethereum mainnet

  • The first time you use the tool, you’ll set up a payment hub/ or distribution wallet which will attract a network transaction fee. ($35 at the time of writing ) Once this is created the hub can be used as many times, for as many different airdrops or distributions as you wish, meaning this is a once off fee. (Just backup your private key and re-import the hub anytime for free.)
  • After that, you will only pay ONE network transaction fee to fund your wallet with the tokens you wish to distribute.
  • The next cost is optional. You have the choice to pay the 1% AirdropMe commission which will be added to your distribution amount OR you can set it so all receivers pay a tiny portion of the fee leaving you with no commission to pay.

What Can The Receiver Expect To Pay?

Once your airdrop has been distributed through AirdropMe, you will receive a link to share with your receivers. They will be able to go to the link landing page, connect their wallet that received the drop and claim their share.

As usual, there will be a network transaction fee associated with the claim.

The costs:

  • Transaction fee (Polygon for example is currently around $0.01 per transaction
  • If you’ve set the ‘user pays commission,’ then they can expect to split the 1% commission between all your airdrop receivers. This is batched with their transaction fee, which reduces costs further.

> Let say your drop is worth $10 000 to be distributed between 3000 participants, the commission is $100 / 3000 = $0.03 per user

  • All in all, the user would pay $0.04 in this example!

Actual Use Cases:

  • Pillar Multichain Wallet, also built on the Etherspot SDK, is currently running their Genesis NFT Collection campaign and wanted to send MATIC tokens to 19 of their users who’d staked PLR so they didn’t have to pay the fees for unstaking.

Send 0.19 Matic to 19 addresses (0.018 MATIC each)

  • First they tried a well known, popular bulk sender dApp and the total distribution fees were 105 MATIC / $ 175.38 (!!) to distribute less than $1
  • AirdropMe cost them 0.018 MATIC / $ 0.03 to do the same.
  • Now imagine the cost if you have 3000 / 10 000 participants.

They clearly had a winner!

Examples of using other tools:

On Polygon:

  • 1 MATIC per user to 1000 users would cost 215.92 MATIC to move the funds to the app and $326.04 in gas fees to send (@ 450 GWEI) and would take 2 separate transactions.

On Ethereum mainnet:

  • To send 1 ETH to each user, with a total of 1000 users would cost 10.77 ETH / $ 36,355.68 to move the funds to the app and $26,322.00 in gas fees to send

These are just some examples of the savings you can make with AirdropMe.io
