Ethfinex joins MAMA
Ethfinex is excited to join MAMA (Multichain Asset Managers Association) as a founding member, working with a consortium of leading finance and technology groups to help shape this new industry.
MAMA, initiated by Melonport AG, represents a number of asset management organisations, technology providers and educational institutions working to establish new frontier of asset management, with blockchain technology at its core.
The vision for MAMA is to provide a platform for discussion amongst the new leaders of the nascent blockchain asset management industry. This will allow us, as members, to better shape future industry standards and promote education throughout the multichain asset management industry. As a group, the members of MAMA will aim to more effectively:
- Shape and lobby for new regulations in the industry
- Promote industry best practices in the absence of clear regulatory guidelines
- Provide research and education around the new technologies of the industry
“We created MAMA to facilitate a forum for leaders across all industries to discuss, plan and engage with one another to drive innovation and positive change in the asset management industry as we build out this technology together in the coming years”
- Mona El Isa, Melonport Co-founder/CEO
As a digital asset exchange, we at Ethfinex recognise the important leadership role we must also play in these efforts and we are thrilled to be contributing to this change.
The role of Ethfinex in MAMA is to take a leadership role in engaging with global stakeholders and policy makers, facilitating education and establishing best practises in and around the MAM ecosystem.
Aside from Ethfinex, MAMA members include the likes of Credit Suisse, Bitcoin Suisse, ConsenSys uPort and 0x, whilst boasting support from the Canton of Zug, Switzerland. An overview of MAMA, together with a complete list of members, can be found here.
