We will compensate EthicHubers who suffered negative results due to COVID-19.

By taking this action we want to acknowledge the value of our Ethichubers’ commitment and trust in building together a more sustainable economic system where the benefit of one means the benefit of all.

To materialize it, we will use part of the economic prize received as co-winners of Chivas Venture to compensate users of the platform.

First of all, we want to thank you once again for all the support and trust you gave to this project. Without your contributions EthicHub would not have been possible, nor would we have managed to create the great social, economic and environmental impact that we are generating among all.

Because of your contributions, almost 200 families of unbanked farmers have accessed much cheaper and more accessible financing that has allowed them to work their land and raise the harvest, honoring their commitments to pay back on time the loans plus interest and recommending our platform to more farmers.

We can proudly say that we have achieved an impressive 0% default in all our projects for the second consecutive year. Additionally, we are opening direct markets so farmers can sell their crops at better prices.

However, we are living in exceptional circumstances derived from the health crisis caused by COVID 19. This exogenous and unexpected element affected many industries and businesses and unfortunately we have not been the exception: some of our financed projects got negative results.

And although no one can guarantee profitability and our Terms and Conditions clearly explains the risks of investing in the platform, we feel it difficult to accept that despite having done their part, both the reputation of our farmers and the growing financing channel of their communities may result affected. For this reason we decided to take action and -as an exceptional measure considering the seed stage of EthicHub- to compensate these negative results using part of the economic prize received as co-winners of Chivas Venture.
