EDCON 2020 is just around the corner.
EDCON 2020 Online Edition will take place online on Sunday, August 9, and run through Tuesday, August 11. And we’re super excited to announce this year’s lineup brings Ethereum researchers Hsiao-Wei Wang, Danny Ryan, Aditya Asgaonkar, Vlad Zamfir; Ethereum builders Terence Tsao, Paul Hauner, Afri Schoedon and others who’re working on ETH 2 and successfully launched Medalla testnet yesterday; Tomasz Kajetan Stanczak, the one behind Nethermind and EIP-1159; founders from top DeFi projects, such as Stani Kulechov, Hayden Adams, Robert Leshner, Kain Warwick, and more; Camila Russo, founder of The Defiant, hot on the heels of her first Ethereum history book “The Infinite Machine”; Daniel Wang, founder of Loopring, the Ethereum’s zkRollup exchange protocol; Adelyn Zhou from the oracle network ChainLink; and the one and only Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin to EDCON 2020.

Day 0: DeFi Talks with Top-Notch Speakers
This Sunday, come join us to kick off EDCON with an amazing lineup of speakers from around the DeFi world.
Stani from Aave (Aavesome) will talk about security, safety incentives, and their latest Aavenomics at 8:15 AM EDT, followed by Professor Sirer from AVA Labs, Camila, Weiwu from Alpha Wallet, Jordan from ConsenSys Codefi, and more.
We will have 3 all-star panels on the first day of EDCON:
- Current State of the DeFi: Security Challenge and Possible Solution with Uniswap’s Hayden, Badri, Quantstamp’s Jaye, and moderated by CoinGecko’s CEO TM. The panel starts at 10:00 AM EDT.
- DeFi 2.0 and Cross-Chain Composability. We will hear some thought-provoking discussion on how to leverage proof-of-stake in DeFi and what’s cross-chain DeFi with Dominik from Interlay, Harsh from EPNS, Shawn from Amberdata.io, Ryan from Anchor Protocol. Christine from CoinDesk will be moderating the panel.
