ETHRuhr — Ethereum Ruhr Introduction
Since my early days in IT, the exchange of ideas among like-minded people has always been important and enjoyful. As Founder and frequent speaker I’m organizing the Microsoft .NET Meetup in Dortmund, Germany since 2007 with over 500 participants and over 100 events.
Ethereum is becoming more and more important as a platform. Therefore, we have founded the ETHRuhr which will organize Meetups and Hackathons around Ethereum topics. With over 5 million people, the Ruhr area is one of the largest urban agglomerations in Europe and is a perfect place to bring the community together.

Usergroup has won Fabian Raetz as speaker. The Chief Technology Officer of Asure Network, an association of insurance and blockchain technology experts, devotes his presentation to “Crowdsale Smartcontracts”: You hear a lot about blockchain, Bitcoin, Ethereum, ICO, TGE, Smartcontracts. But what is behind it, how does it work to create a crowdsale contract, what can it do and how can I use it? That and much more will be discussed in Fabian’s talk.
The meeting of the ETHRuhr and .NET-Usergroup starts on October 17th at 6 p.m., after Fabian’s presentation there is still enough time for networking. MAXIMAGO sponsors pizza and drinks.
