Getting Started on TokenTable: Founders, Investors, Team Members

Version one of TokenTable aims to be a 10X better solution than the incumbent token-fundraising stack by leveraging blockchain for record keeping, fund transfer, and agreement enforcement, while abstracting away blockchain complexities in the UX.

• TokenTable serves tokenholders — stakeholders in token-based projects — such as founders, investors, employees, advisors, and community contributors.
• TokenTable aims to demonstrate how smart contracts can be used to trustlessly enforce agreements that take place throughout the lifecycle of a startup project.
• TokenTable enables founders to plan their token supply allocations. They can also issue, sign, and execute various token-investment contracts, and team token grants.
• TokenTable monitors token vesting, and upon a token generation event (TGE) facilitates the distribution of unlocked tokens customized to match previously signed investment and grant contracts.

For Founders

• Fundraise from investors through signing SAFTs, SAFEs, token warrants, and side letters, coupled with integrated on-chain fund transfer.
• Onboard contracts and fund transfer records from previous funding rounds, and previous employee agreements. This ensures the legal contract and smart contract are aligned.

Create a Round

• Issue invoices to investors to couple on-chain fund transfer with sending investment contracts. Payment network and currency type are customizable

Prepare Contracts

• Issue token grants to team members and advisors, and track employee token unlocking.

Team View

• Track token ownership, unlocking, and distribution across all token holders. Upon TGE, founders can initiate token distribution.

• Execute fundraising deals: review terms, sign contracts, and transfer funds
• Transfer funds on-chain upon signing investment contracts. Payment network and currency type are customizable.
• View portfolio view that displays deal terms (unlocking schedule, allocation, token price etc.) and stores signed contracts.
• Claim unlocked tokens across portfolio post-TGE.
