We are excited to share that our community is growing and we have received a welcoming response to our innovative project. The product innovation that we are implementing brings a whole new experience for both crypto and gaming enthusiasts.

With the rapid growth of our community, we are often being asked about how we differentiate from other competitors in the market. Hence, we decided to write a blog that specifically addresses this question. We will keep the comparison brief as we don’t want to overload our readers with the information. You’ll explore and experience the differences more when you try Ethverse.

We also want to emphasize here that we acknowledge the contributions of other projects who are working on building blockchain-powered Metaverse or integrating blockchain to Minecraft. These projects have set a strong precedent and demonstrated that there is a need for Ethverse. In this article, we will cover two notable players (based on community demand and questions) who have contributed to this space and how Ethverse is different from them.

We will start with Enjincraft which is also based on Minecraft. Enjincraft is a Minecraft blockchain plugin for their wallet integration that allows users to use and trade blockchain-based assets in Minecraft. Ethverse is a blockchain-powered Metaverse in Minecraft which not only integrates blockchain-based assets but also has a vast list of features that are added in-game which makes it more than a crypto wallet in Minecraft. Ethverse users can own land registered on the blockchain which is also an integrated part of the Ethverse DeFi ecosystem. Users can monetize their skills and assets in-game and on the marketplace. Ethverse also includes multiple wallet support and supports both on-chain and off-chain transactions to optimize the user experience. You can also refer to the table below or read our lightpaper to know more about Ethverse.

Another notable player in the market is Decentraland. While both Decentraland and Ethverse are blockchain-powered Metaverse projects, both the projects have different paths. Decentraland is focussed on building infinity engine and will be limited by the capabilities of decentralized content distribution. Whereas Ethverse is using Minecraft which has exceptional scaling capabilities. Moreover, Minecraft is a mature platform with over 100 million monthly active users. ETHVerse also incorporates decentralized finance capabilities where land and other assets can be collateralized to borrow tokens and unlock the time value of tokens and assets. Lenders can earn by lending tokens to the DeFi platform.

Below table summarises and compares the most common features of the platforms being discussed:

Ethverse Comparison Chart

While every project is unique in their own ways, Ethverse is building on Minecraft with a global reach and appeal. The sheer size of the users who already own, understand, and love Minecraft opens up the doors for Ethverse to a gigantic gaming community along with crypto enthusiasts.
