We have developed an impact strategy that reflects the positive economic, social, and environmental impact we want to have on the world while advancing and complementing our business strategy. Since announcing our impact strategy in 2017, we have updated some of our goals to be more specific, measurable and time bound. We expect to continue to evolve our impact strategy in the future as our impact work matures. Our social impact goal is to:

Enable equitable access to the opportunities that we create

To advance this goal, we’ve set three sub-goals. They are:

  1. Approximately double the percentage of Black and Latinx employees in Etsy’s workforce by 2023
  2. Build a diverse, equitable, and sustainable supply chain to support our operations and bring value to both Etsy and our vendors
  3. Make Etsy a more inclusive and welcoming marketplace for people from underrepresented backgrounds

We’ll continue to keep our stakeholders informed on our progress, challenges, and learnings through this section of our Impact blog.
