“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations.” ~‭‭Psalms‬ ‭67:1–2‬ ‭

I love these verses. They take is into the core of prayer and ground us in the most basic relationship between us and God.

Do you see the two things going on here?

First, our relationship with God

It begins with…. “God bless us…and be with us.”

This is the foundation of our entire faith. A relationship with God. He’s promised to be there already. By praying this it draws us more deeply into that relationship.

Second, God’s plans for the world

The next verse says pushes us to look out to the world around us. SO THAT they could know God and He could love and bless them. We are blessed to be a blessing.

Re-read the verses and pray them out loud.
