🔱🔱 Gentle Boldness— 1 Peter 3:15,17

“…but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.” ~1 Peter 3:15,17

As Christians, when it comes to talking about our faith in the public sphere or even with another person we know, we often fall in one of two camps.

  1. Many people just shy away from talk about it. It’s uncomfortable. It may sever or damage your relationship with others. It’s hard.
  2. We can become defensive where by the time we’re done talking, even if we’re right, no one would want to listen to us anyways.

A better way

Like so many other things, the Bible calls us to a different path — bold gentleness. Don’t be afraid….but do speak with gentleness and respect. That’s really hard!

Pray that God would give you a loving and courageous heart. Don’t be afraid to share about how God is real in your life!
