Brief description
In this project, we have partnered with NYC based design agency Fantasy to develop and launch a site for Walters Homes. This company builds custom homes along the New Jersey shore and holds such awards as Builder of the Year, ENERGY STAR® Market Leader, and many others.
Our goals.
Together with the Fantasy team we wanted to create a top-level website what would be very easy to use for customers!
The Fantasy team implemented the concept for the project, prototypes and UI/UX design.
Our team’s work was in creating a cool front and backend.
It’s been a pleasure working with the Fantasy team. From the animatics their designers prepared, to the close contact we built despite the time difference. All the details connected with the site architecture and mechanics were discussed directly between our developers and the Fantasy designers, which helped to greatly speed up the development process.
On this project, we used Scrum with two-week iterations, which allowed us to keep things under control and coordinate two teams based in different timezones. Overall project management of the American partners was perfectly organized.

You can be linked to receive financial help and connect with Walters Homes Managers to tell them about everything you need from the house of your dreams!

Details
We paid big attention to how this site feels. Scrolling of long screens, switching among pages, animations, images — all the ui details were carefully implemented and optimized. For example, to make the loading fast and smooth, we customized ImageMagick so as to decrease the size of the images up to 80% while maintaining the same quality.
User-friendly
For this website, we have built a straightforward and user-friendly custom CMS by significantly customizing the Active Admin. Now the Walters Homes team can change all the content on the site. We have also created functionality for previewing content changes made through admin without publishing them. A special script was developed for parsing news from the Walters Homes Facebook group and adding them to the website in the required format.

- Amazing site optimization which allows user to take in all the important information fast. Really FAST!
- CMS system which makes creating and editing the content for Walters Homes as simple and comfortable as ever!
