Euronext Dublin lists Ireland’s first green corporate bond
Irish energy producer and distributor ESB, today listed its first ever green bond on Euronext Dublin. The €500 million bond is to support green projects, including renewable energy generation, as well as charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
The bond is priced at a fixed rate of 1.125% and matures in June 2030.
Green Bonds on Euronext Dublin
Euronext Dublin is becoming the venue of choice for listing green bonds. Today’s ESB Green Bond listing follows the world bank listing of a €1.5BN sustainable bond on Euronext Dublin last month and joins over 50 separate green bond issuers from across the globe.
Other recent international issuers choosing our markets for their green bond listings include: Portugal’s first ever green bond (EDP), France’s Getlink SE (formerly Eurotunnel), CGNPC International Limited (a subsidiary of China General Nuclear Power Corporation) and ACS Servicios Comunicaciones y Energía (a Spanish engineering services company).
