Drummond Street Communications Campaign

With the onset of HS2 developments, Euston faces many years under construction with hoardings, building sites and vehicles cluttering the streets. Our remit as a BID is to preserve local high streets in the face of major development. Therefore, we have allocated funds towards a communications strategy with Camden Town Media that will help attract footfall to the area, helping Drummond Street traders not just to survive but to thrive. Here’s a rundown of our communications campaign:

We have joined forces with a leading public relations company and the gems behind @CamdenTownLDN; Camden Town Media. They have created @DrummondStLdn and are helping to promote Drummond Street as a foodie destination, with great pubs and a vibrant community buzz. So far they have built a strong sense of community on Drummond Street’s social media channels, evidenced by 10,000+ weekly organic impressions delivered on Instagram and 360,000+ total impressions delivered through sponsored posts by London-based influencers!

Social Media Consultancy workshops

Social Media is becoming more and more important for businesses in our current climate. That’s why Camden Town Media have started to provide Social Media Consultancy workshops to the businesses of Drummond Street. They are teaching business owners how to use social media, increase engagement and how to create meaningful content that will attract new visitors and keep their loyal customers coming back for more. They will also be consulting businesses individually on website design, branding and content production.

Influencers

Camden Town Media are working with London’s leading food and lifestyle bloggers to position Drummond Street as a trendy hotspot. So far Drummond Street has welcomed an overall of 35 influencers over the period of 3 months, 14 of which posted about Drummond Street in October.

Business Directories

In partnership with Bolter Design, we’ve had business directories created that will provide visitors with a browsing tool, a journey of discovery, and should educate and inform about what’s on offer in this vibrant community.

Discount scheme

We have introduced a discount scheme with @DrummondStLdn and it aims to attract @ucl students and @CamdenPT theatre-goers to the area so that they explore the wonderful array of restaurants and businesses. Find out who is a part of the scheme here.
