evedo events! Our SaaS Platform is officially in Alpha v0.1

It has been an exciting week for us here at the evedo house and we are looking forward to continue to deliver new features and building value for our customers. Thank you everyone who has signed up to checkout our Events SaaS Alpha that we launched last monday.

You may have noticed some basic requirements needed to become visible and to use all the features that are available in this current version. The purpose of this weekly publication is to bring light the functionality, limitations, and new features of the software as it is “today”.

Registration

We have been actively watching our onboarding users and owe our earliest adopters thanks for helping us test out all the nooks and crannies of the alpha. We do our best to hotfix any issues we come across, and we encourage people to use the feedback dialog when people do notice an issue with their experience, or if they feel as if there is an opportunity for an improvement, please do not hesitate to let us know. The feedback tab should be visible on every app page on the right side.

Signing up is easy, and we have reviewed it to improve the experience on mobile, and ensure that all partners signing up, complete at least their role, categories, and city.

  • roles selection
  • category selection
  • city lookup and automatic lookup

…if any of these step are skipped accidently, we do refer you do a setup workflow to complete these steps before you can view your dashboard. While selecting your role, be careful as we do not currently support changing from a Entertainer, Venue Owner, or Organizer to another type of role. You can expect this ability in future versions, though you will not be able to change it at your leisure. Our roadmap will allow subscribed users to represent multiple roles, but it is not expected to be introduced until the Beta version of events.

Completing your user, partner, and/or venue profiles is essential for a good experience in the platform, and full features will not be enabled until your profiles are 100% complete, and your email is confirmed. We try to encourage only serious profiles be visible to other users, so complete your profile asap to become published on evedo!

Entertainer Short Links and Meta Tags

In the latest update, we have included short links to Entertainer profiles, based on your username (see your user settings to set yours, they are unique and first come-first serve!) you can see your short link with your other social media links. You may also notice that when you share your profile, we dynamically set the meta tags so that Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc can use your name and image to create richer more attractive shares towards your network.

Media & Event Sharing

Also in this release, Entertainers are be able to embed their YouTube, Soundcloud, and Mixcloud posts. Simply copy the embed code from the respective platform, create a new share, and we will handle the rest. Facebook events can be shared to your profile to highlight events they’ve been featured in. You can expect to be able to share Eventbrite events as well as Meetup.com events in the near future. Your Shares can be managed and updated from the user settings.

That is in for v0.1, we are happy to have this shipped, and we have plenty of updates coming down stream.

If you have any ideas or feedback about the product, you can use the feedback tab in the application, or email info@evedo.co

We are always ready to take your feedback into consideration! Thanks for being a part of the evedo story

We are very focused on growth and right now, you can make all the difference! Please upvote us on Product Hunt, like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram! Your support here means more attention for the company and our products.

Stay Tuned.
