We are exalted to announce our recent feature in the prestigious MBE magazine’s summer edition this year. Eventdex takes a step forward in becoming the most prominent Event App for Diversity events in America. An interview with the MBE rep, Durga Mikkilineni, the CEO of Eventdex spoke about how it all began. Along with his friend and partner Raj Gardilla, he started a self-funded organization that has now grown to the five million dollar mark. Starting with their first opportunity in 2011 at the NMSDC (National Minority Supplier Diversity Council) Conference in Atlanta, Eventdex successfully made its mark in the Diversity arena. According to the VP of partnerships, Eventdex is an NMSDC certified organization with a true grasp of the Diversity sector; it is aware of the significant demographics and analytics.

When asked about the initial solution, the CEO explained, “We built a cloud based app that created a matchmaking solution within the event application that eventually proved indispensable in the Event Management industry”. Today’s event organizers have increasingly recognized the relevance of this useful matchmaking tool, specifically during supplier diversity meetings. Eventdex has grown two-fold since it now has the ability to integrate an entire suite of event management apps including onsite and online registration ticketing and B2B matchmaking. Easy and instant badge processing and validations of the latest iBeacon technology, provide for an app that helps users identify the location of a possible lead and their proximity to it. The Eventdex team is not only well adapted to the evolving trends in technology, but also believes in continuous growth. In Mikkilineni’s words, “We genuinely wanted to give the industry a one-stop-shop addressing the primary concerns of event management and thankfully, we have a robust and user friendly solution.Thanks to our hardworking team who have worked day and night to make this possible.” Our team is dedicated and works to address client issues immediately rather than adhere to the conventional nine to five workday. When asked on how he finds a balance as a small business owner, Mikkilineni replied with a smile, “Because as a small business owner, I am both the janitor and the CEO”.
