Everdragons2 launches in less than a week! You’ll notice building excitement in our Discord group about Goldmine, which is a minigame starting Saturday (December 11) at 11 AM Pacific Time and ending Monday (December 13) at midnight Pacific Time. Here’s a tutorial on how to play Goldmine in order to win one of 300 prize dragons 🐉

*Note: we will give away up to 300 Dragons. To promote a fair and healthy competition, we will give away as many Dragons as 50% of the number of players so that every player has the chance to fight at least with one peer to conquer the Dragon. (example: 200 Players=100 NTFs, 600 Players=300 NTFs)

1. Install a MetaMask crypto wallet

First things first, install MetaMask in order to receive and store tokens, NFTs, etc. Goldmine is a fully on-chain game, which means that every action is a blockchain-based transaction.

2. Register

In Discord, go to the #Goldmine channel (opening December 11 at 11 AM Pacific Time) and type this command:
“/register [your address 0x….]”

Registering matches your address with your Discord username so that it can be shown in the game. It also unlocks the option to join an alliance through Discord. Furthermore, our bot will send you two POA tokens to play! You may feel that 2 POA isn’t much, but actually, it is. Having tested Goldmine, we struggled to spend above 0.4 POA per game (even with hundreds of transactions). This means you can play Goldmine for free at least five times — enough to make improvements!

3. Start the game

Go to the Everdragons2 website. This is where you’ll find Goldmine on Saturday, December 11, at 11 AM Pacific Time.
Click “Connect to POA” and let the game set up your MetaMask wallet for POA Network.
Click “Play” 😊

4. Join or create an alliance

If you have an alliance, you get significant bonuses. Based on the size of the alliance and the Discord level of all of its members, each teammate has a higher chance of winning a dragon egg. Through active communication (and maybe even spying), you will share information to be faster than everyone else.

To join an alliance, simply join a #Thread in the Discord General channel. Some alliance #Threads may be hidden and you need to ask around if an alliance will take you on. You can also create your own alliance by creating a #Thread (public or private), inviting your friends, etc.

Remember…

Only join one #Thread and remove yourself from all others. Otherwise, you might end up in the wrong alliance!
Alliances can be created and changed until Sunday 2 AM Pacific Time. After that they are frozen and no new alliances can be created.
Each alliance is ranked by its best player. The alliance gives each member a time bonus based on its total population. The more members, the better. The top-ranked alliance, for example, gives a time bonus of up to 5 minutes. Make sure your alliance is as large as possible, with a few really strong players. If your alliance has a low rank or you have no alliance you do not get any penalty.

5. Check out these tips

Goldmine will close on Monday, December 13, at midnight Pacific Time zone. At this point, 300 people win an NFT egg, which hatches into a random dragon upon the Everdragons2 public sale on December 14.

Your level in Discord and your alliance count for bonuses.
Clicking “Start Game” and completing the transaction in MetaMask starts the game and the timer.
Click the gold cart to get your first chunk of gold. The gold cart is only clickable when it glows and you can click it as often as you like!
The diamond sign will periodically glow and display a diamond. When it does, click quickly to claim the diamond(s).
Get miners to passively gain gold per second. Buy more to unlock miner upgrades.
Get upgrades to boost mining power and earn gold and diamonds faster.
Keep an eye on your gold balance, your gold income per second, your diamond balance, and your game time on top of the screen.

The game ends when you purchase all four parts of the Diamond Drill and your time gets recorded on the leaderboard.
The fastest 300 players will win an Everdragons2 egg. Speed of completion is affected by the performance of your alliance teammates, if you choose to join one!
You can play as many times as you want. Your best time will be recorded.
There are no shortcuts or pay-to-win options but there are many routes to victory — find the fastest!

6. Enjoy the game and do your best!

*Note: Goldmine is a game we’ve revived from years ago. It’s separate from the upcoming Origins, a free-to-play play-to-earn game in the Everdragons Metaverse.

Setting up MetaMask manually…

The game will setup MetaMask to use POA automatically but, if you want to do it manually, you can do so. Open MetaMask, select the Network dropdown, and click “Add network” to add these values:
