An early-stage startup’s primary focus is validating and refining the business strategy and plans, learning and adapting, prioritizing, and attracting and retaining early-stage customers.

Though technology capability is essential for tech startups, ramping up tech talent is slow, costly, and effort-intensive. Thus, building in-house tech talent early on dilutes a startup’s focus on its core business activities and strengths.

Outsourcing tech to the right partner(s) allows startups, to focus on what matters most(business). Another advantage of outsourcing is the instant access to technical capability, that will add momentum to your business activities.

Outsourcing strategies vary based on the stage of your startup. However, there is almost always a case, for partnering with the right software agencies.

This is the introductory first part of a multi-part blog, exploring the benefits and uncovering some myths about outsourcing. I intend to publish them on a weekly cadence. Stay tuned!

I help connect startups to matching software agencies and with partner selection. You can reach out to me for a deeper discussion.
