Right place, right time, right people

It doesn’t happen too often when you can participate in something big, something that has the potential to change the world and make you proud of your accomplishments.

Right place

A few months ago I had a chance to join EV-Box, a great and brave company from Netherlands which aims to make the world a better place by supporting electric driving and sustainable energy. Company values and its culture assure me that my urge to make a difference in this world has a great chance of fulfilment.

Right time

It happened that at the time when I joined, EV-Box decided to create its own in-house software development team and I was to be part of this creation. Retrospecting now I think it was a great moment for both sides to join the forces. EV charging and sustainable energy markets are growing rapidly and are way overdue for a new & disruptive software offering. This is the time to make a difference.

Right people

Finding the right people is a challenge and we have experienced this with all the severity. We followed an old good recipe “A-class people will attract A’s — and B-class people will attract C’s”. As cruel as it may sound, when combined with looking at character firstly it yields great results. Fast forward few months later we can happily report that we achieved our goals. The combination of people we got both for technical knowledge and team match gives me certainty we are set for a joyful and successful journey.
