Looking for a way to join Team-EMC for the TCS NYC Marathon without actually having to run 26.2 miles? Here’s your chance:
We need volunteers to staff the EMC-sponsored water station at Mile 18. You’ll hand out water, cheer on runners and be part of what makes EMC’s marathon effort a success. This will be the fourth year Team-EMC has participated in the NYC Marathon and this year our team is bigger than ever. We’re hoping you’ll be part of our effort to raise funds and awareness about maternal health and maternal mortality and help people make the connection that pregnancy and birth are a bit like a marathon — physically challenging, emotionally demanding and it takes a team to make it all the way through to the finish line safely and successfully. We run so mothers won’t have to.

EMC runs to help people realize that distance is often the biggest barrier women face when trying to access lifesaving healthcare during pregnancy and childbirth. The NYC marathon is among our most important awareness and fundraising events. By volunteering with us this year, you can help runners succeed and provide solutions that can help make pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother.
Here’s what you need to know:

  • The last day to sign up as an official NY marathon volunteer is July 31st and you must be registered to participate.
  • Your friends and family can join you and children are welcome as long as they’re ten-years-old or older and registered.
