You may have heard the saying, “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.” However, few people truly understand its meaning. When it is said to eat breakfast like a king, what our ancestors meant was to eat according to your body’s needs. Just as a king has everything but eats what suits him, you should do the same. In this edition, I would like to talk about how eating only fruits is helping me stay alert and healthy. This is something that naturopathy preaches as a way of living life. To learn more about this, you can read the book Natural Life Style- Rogon Se bachaav. I believe this works for all body types, but as someone who is a pitta dosha, I can confidently say that it works.

If you experience a grumbling stomach in the morning or feel heavy after breakfast, this is a must-read. It is also recommended for those who often feel sleepy after breakfast or believe they are already consuming light foods like upma and poha but still experience issues such as a bad stomach and dullness. Additionally, if you are a working professional with minimal physical activity in the morning, you should read this.

By reading this, you will discover the benefits of eating only fruits for breakfast. By following this advice, you will have the opportunity to fully utilize your morning hours. Additionally, I will discuss some of the secondary benefits of this habit.

Coming from a simple middle-class family where the only life goal is to earn money, I have come to understand the importance of relationships, mental health, financial freedom, and physical health. As someone who always strives to be productive throughout the day, I constantly look for ways to achieve this. It started with optimizing my sleep, then my overall diet, and finally my breakfast.

I used to feel sleepy a lot, which clearly hindered my productivity. To improve this, I started adopting proper sleep habits. When this did not yield significant results, I switched to a lighter breakfast, such as upma or idli. Although this helped with my health, I still experienced a grumbling stomach and dizziness in the morning.

Finally, when I joined the Ultimate Health Challenge by Satvic Movement, I learned that individuals like me who don’t engage in much physical activity on a daily basis can only consume fruits in the morning to fulfill their nutritional needs and feel fresh throughout the day.

Feeling energetic

I noticed a significant difference once I switched to having only fruit for breakfast. Previously, even something as light as idli or upma would make me feel dizzy and sleepy. This not only reduced my focus at work but sometimes even necessitated a nap. As a working professional, it is crucial to use the morning hours productively, not just for yourself but for your team as well if you are a leader. Feeling sleepy or unfocused is not an option.

Health benefits

Incorporating fruits into my morning routine has provided me with tremendous health benefits. I used to suffer from a bad stomach in the morning and excessively chapped lips for a long time, but now I rarely experience these issues. Moreover, eating fruits in the morning has also resolved my problem of sweaty hands and toes. The cooling and easily digestible properties of fruits helped me overcome these issues. Therefore, any problems related to excessive body heat can be alleviated by following this diet.

No tension of preparing food in the morning

This is one of the most significant secondary benefits of this habit. If you’re a bachelor who prepares your meals, you can understand how relaxed you feel when someone asks you not to cook. Even if you have a cook or someone else who cooks for you, like your wife, mother, or another family member, letting them feel relaxed is a win-win situation.

The bottom line is that eating fruits in the morning keeps my body cool. As a resident of a hot climate and someone with Pitta Dosha, I greatly benefit from this. In fact, my wife, who has Kapha Dosha, also finds this diet helpful. Not only has it helped her shed some weight, but it also provides the benefits I mentioned above.

I am not claiming that this diet will work for everyone, but based on the benefits I have experienced, I highly recommend trying it for at least three months and making your own judgment. You might experience a little coughing and a cold in the first two weeks.

Although I enjoy sharing my experiences to help others going through similar phases of life, I primarily write about productivity and healthy lifestyles.
