Update Journal #1: Unexpected Events, Media Appearances & A Gesture of Love for Our Community
How is it going, fellow Blockchainers? :)
In yesterday’s blog post, I’ve mentioned that from this Friday on, I’ll be publishing updates about our team’s most important accomplishments. Well, the day has come, so without further ado — let’s dive right in!
Of course, the most epic updates came straight from our indefatigable leader Addy Crezee. Only yesterday I mentioned a thing or two about EXP20, our new startup competition, which will be held as a part of BlockShow Asia 2018; today, Addy revealed the list of investment funds to step up the competition’s jury board. Meet the first 7 of them:
- Sora Ventures
- Global Blockchain Innovative Capital (GBIC)
- Fenbushi Capital
- BCI — Blockchain Investment Fund
- Blockchain I
- Blockasset Ventures
- Trive VC
Without any doubts, these names have already become a truly fantastic addition to BlockShow, as well as drawn even more attention to EXP20. And still, what is this whole thing going to be like? I promise, you’ll find out really soon :)
Apart from that, Addy has intrigued me with one more big announcement — it turns out that BlockShow is currently preparing one more great event, this time in collaborations with the Malaysian Government Agency. You want more info? So do I, but it seems like we all have to wait a bit — the final negotiations about the event are now in process, and hopefully we’ll get more juicy details in the near future.
With Great Power Comes Great… Visibility
Ladies from our Media Relations department have also surprised me with some awesomeness. First things first: our exclusive interview with Thomas Lee, Managing Partner and Head of Research at Fundstrat Global Advisors, has been finally published by Cointelegraph! In this interview to coincide with the upcoming BlockShow Asia 2018 (where Mr. Lee is going to be one of the most anticipated speakers), we’ve discussed the future of Bitcoin and the global financial ecosystem, some recent trends in Crypto, and much
more — and I highly encourage you to go take a look!
Besides, there is one more update you need to know — Reuters, one of the biggest news agencies worldwide, have confirmed their appearance at our conference in November! Being recognized and covered by such a ‘giant’… great job, girls! :)
Oh, and By the Way…
Are there any startups out there? I’ve got some great news for you, too!
I bet you already know about the BlockShow Official Telegram Chat. If not, it’s just about the right time to join it — not only to meet lots of like-minded people, but also to take part in a super cool interactive challenge with such prizes as a kiosk at BlockShow Asia 2018, special interview, and a ticket to the BlockShow VIP party!
The conditions from your part are as easy as pie: right after joining the chat, just tell us about your startup in 250 words max, add a link to your website and chase it with the #blockshowstartup hashtag. After we pick top-10 projects out of all applicants, we’ll let the community decide who should take it all!
You’re not a startuper? Don’t worry, because you still can participate! If you know some promising companies seeking for exposure, just invite them to our official chat, and then share the main chat message announcing this contest. If the startup invited by you will make it to the top-10, you are getting a complimentary ticket to BlockShow Asia 2018.
Sounds like a great deal, huh? Don’t miss this chance and hurry up — the application process is open for just a week, up till November, 9!
That’s all for now, folks. This was hell of a week for our team — and we definitely enjoyed it! The first weekly update turned out to be pretty eventful, and we have so much more going on right now — let’s just wait and see what happens next. Have a great weekend, y’all!
