Please meet Archie, co-founder of the London based video creators initiative called Vidsy. Back in February he went to the concert of Jamie XX in Paris and posted a 15 second loop on his Instagram account.

When I discovered it the team was surprised how professional it looks and we started a quick conversation. He said:

“Great way to capture the experience and way better than everyone else getting arm ache recording the whole set!”

He’s a super-friendly and helpful guy, he gave me detailed feedback via email. He listed a few things that might be useful additions to the current set of features. Also, he sent us the original edit so that we could learn from it. Inspired by his feedback we’ve been thinking about some advanced use cases and we have built the ability to favourite/flag shots since then. Our users love it!

A few days later he travelled to Thailand and among many other photos there were 2 cool slowmographs which are like Live Photos but they look a lot cooler.

I re-posted the originals on Vine because (as you can see above) Instagram videos don’t loop in a Medium post.

He created an awesome edit documenting the trip. This all has been made on his iPhone: all shots with Slowmographer and stringed together with some other app. Here you go:
