Eve mentally rolled up her sleeves. She harrumphed. She regarded the mess of papers she dumped on her desk with some distaste. But she overcame it. This was foreplay. She was about to engage in intimacy with pragmaticism. Exactly. It had no less kick than the real thing, so called.

The prospect was forbidding. She would need to write out something. But what? What she wanted to retain.

But she had no taste for references to this haphazard disorder. She said, “The text will be mine.” She would make it such. No plagiarism. Attribution clear. Peirce. Peirce. Peirce.
