5 The Crucifixion of Ethics and Aesthetics

Eve woke early and slipped out of bed, let Cletus out, washed, dressed, and went down to her office. She was pumped. Something was about to pop out. She could be a mother to ideas.

She did not have a normal view of crucifixion. She thought of it mostly in terms of the way the unenlightened world works. If someone speaks pure truth and casts pure light, crucifixion is par for the course.

Eve knew that most of the world’s billions had no interest in Christianity or Christian theology. She also knew that her view of crucifixion would not pass muster with most Christians.
