Inevitably Jesus was confronted because of his solitary ways. He was simply a curiosity to most who passed him going to and fro. But some of the men who gathered to discuss things at the synagogue noticed that he often seemed to be trying to hear their talk.
One day a man called Gamaliel walked into the area where Jesus stood and said, “Why do you spend so much time around here.”
“I’m sorry,” Jesus said. “I am not meaning to disturb you.”
