“Where is he now?” That question was overheard many times in Nazareth as Jesus grew. He was not exactly a truant, but he tended to wander off. Nearby, he could climb a gentle slope and be alone. He treasured that.
And the voice. The voice of the one he called Abba. The one he talked to every day.
In town, a bully beat up a child half his size. Jesus watched. Soon it ended. A whimpering boy. A bully exuding a strange aura.
