A term that separates us from the start

Suggesting we are in and they are out

We always leave out the amazing part

Our complete oneness is what life’s about

Most of creation is aware of this

Simply all beings are made of energy

Dividing beings is a losing game

Better to recognize our unity

We are not experts about outer space

Until we get rid of our fearful stance

Replacing it with openness and grace

And letting words that unify advance

We need to shelve the brute term “aliens”

We are all neighbors on earth after all

Better a usage with more salience

Than one that rests on such a fear-filled call
