ARE CONSCIOUSNESS AND LIFE THE SAME?

Are consciousness and life the same

Off hand, I would guess the answer’s yes

The opposite of both seems to be death

But opposites don’t rule I must confess

There is no such thing as life and death

Death is just a change in matter’s state

Neither matter nor spirit can die

Whatever life is, death is not our fate

If life is consciousness, heaven is real

Consciousness is always near at hand

Even those who are the most deadly

Somewhere within them they can understand
