Conciousness Includes Conscience
Consciousness is having quite a run
It gets plaudits
well beyond the New Age barricade
It may be a word that limns the soup
we live within
the uncreated quantum soup that tastes not bad
when we consider how we’re being had

It’s nice to have a little vacation
from the world of pomp and circumstance
did I say pomp
I may have meant porn
but then again they may be synonyms
In any case with my eyes open
it simply isn’t hard to see that what is
operating is by any name beyond
what is dependent on my seeming brain
is consciousness
I am not saying that my brain’s a slouch
just that there’s more than that

Consciousness is best seen as
access to conscience
therefore access to good things
like nonviolence and being fair

Sadly the New Age world is mired in
the relativism taken to be tolerance
Therefore this little thing to set the New Age straight
If you are not universal you are not conscious
If you are not conscious your conscience cannot operate

You still can choose
But when you choose a lesser way
you lose
There is an out
Know you are precious for all time
Fear not
Know you can do no wrong
