The future is Like childbirth painful with purpose and some delights as well

Cybercommunities are the answer to traffic

The end of traffic is one of the first pieces I have seen that remotely gets at the most basic problem of our world. Its atrocious waste due to ill design and economic myopia.

My #cybercommunities parse with this but this does only half the job. The remake must involve the most expensive thing of all — — dwellings. We cannot merely accept the present notion.

We need to utterly rebuild everything from ground up, leaving only the few gems that remind us of our past moments of design and architectural sanity.

We need to see the world as communities of around 10 K living in structures that are safe and secure and walkable. Housing will be like play sets, movable and assembled in hours. We will live in weather resistant shells that contain the channels needed to get energy and waste and everything else in and out. We will live on no more than four walkable levels in a profusion of iterations enabled by people themselves. People will control everything.

The mass production needed for this will make today’s industries look like toys. The future is beyond our immediate grasp because we do not dream large enough.

But it is nice to see some writing on the wall.
