DANCE THROUGH IT

It’s hard to see light in the dark

Hard too to overcome what hurts

Harder still to welcome unsought ills

And when someone dares you, dance through it

Dance right through it

Observe your energy

It rises up if you do too

Your moving feet agree

What are you doing

A neighbor asks

When they see you in motion

Give them back a knowing smile

It is the smile of winning
