Jesus was anxious to get into the battles he would have to fight when the time came. Amazing that a child, shy of the ten year mark, would have the sophistication to talk to Abba every day. But Jesus was no more amazing than child after child who go through life with similar levels of perception. The difference was that Jesus took to Abba.

Today, he asked Abba how to deal with Satan or the Devil.

“I hear the names all the time,” Jesus said.

“Then let’s start with them,” Abba said. “People love to blame their wrongs on some external thing. That is all the Devil or Satan is. An external thing. A figment of the imagination to intimidate people and avoid looking in the mirror and admitting that they are the problem.”
