Everything Comes

--

A place where children live and play

And school is meant for everyone

Socrates has marked the way

Toward where the work of Soulhood may be done

2

Thus “Your own room” is given all

It is a sacred private place

A place where all of us can call

On Guidance our best lives to trace

3

Such rooms we cluster all nearby

Centers of creativity

Outside a common space lays by

For our closest community

4

To have one space that is our own

Can be embraced by every Soul

For every Soul can be best known

If centered, free, balanced and whole

5

And balance, wholeness and freedom

Do not rise up from happenstance

But from a center from which comes

A light that overcomes the dense

6

Integrity and solitude are not inimical

They rise from who and what we are

Souls placed here, but for a spell

We then return to homes among the stars

7

Like everything, rooms are a choice

But I would give rooms as I’ve said

We are not meant to follow every voice

There’s inner food by which we can be fed
