Egoic us describes the state we’re in

It’s our protection and our sometime curse

Transcending ego is the best of skills

Ego entrapment moves from bad to worse

Ego’s concerned with what is physical

There is no ego in the Spirit realm

Ego may tell us our body’s the end

In truth, our Spirit’s always at the helm

Honor the ego temporarily

It will die when our bodies are no more

Accept life as our chance to make our way

And let our way be what we’re living for
