I know by luck
and by design
whereof you speak
Few understandings hurt
so much
Light beneath bushels
is not strong
enough
to brook the fortitude
that’s there
It is the tragedy of
our time
it transcends
the cries of prophets
the posturings
of profiteers
It’s not romantic in the least
nor idealistic
It’s elemental
It is why
