“This is going to be fun,” Eve said. She and Adam continued hand in hand down the hill past the post office, now a massage parlor. The sidewalk had lots of cracks. The town was in one of its slumps. Bad weather. Bad transportation. Population decline. “Some things don’t change,” she said gaily.
