They could see the roof line on the house up ahead. They climbed silently.
“What costs us most is most ephemeral,” Mark said out of the blue. “What seems substantial may be nothingness. A passing glimmer, a mark on a screen. Our substance isn’t far from nothingness.”
“It works,” Eve said. “Money can be what you desire. All told, it is a most substantial sign.”
