FEAST ON DUALITY

Breathing is necessary, important
If it stops long enough then so do we
But one more thing and it might make our day
Breathing is a feast of duality

How so? Just think of in and out a while
Or up and down, or good and bad, and such
Each breath we take splits a duality
If we consider this we may learn much

Our final state brooks no duality
In Heaven everything is unified
Solidity is Earthly, so is breath
So ask yourself what sort of truth we ride

Breathe in breathe out, our truth depends on both
And finally what’s down does not come up
There is a state when everything is right
And we drink only from a nondual cup

But get this. As we breathe, we mix things up
And then we see that all of our fine tune
Makes not a whit of difference finally
Duality is what fills life’s balloon

Mental Existence is a mindful trick
It defeats dual even as we breathe
We choose what’s good not evil by our thought
Then what we deemed above becomes beneath
