The revolution of Triadic Philosophy begins with Reality and moves immediately to Ethics.

Getting these fixed in your mind automatically keys you to the reason why a binary is not enough.

Reality is where you determine what is happening that you need to address. It could be a habit in need of a tweak or a re-do. It could be that call you just finished. It could be whatever rises. It is whatever engages woud waking consciousness.

In Triadic Philosophy we evoke the notion of Charles Sanders Peirce that the Second is a Blunt Truth, a Barrier. I call it a colander. Something through which whatever is your Reality Sign must now be strained through.

The Second is also called an Index, because it is a compendium of things needed to compose your barrier, your colander.

In the case of Triadic Philosophy this Second is Ethics. And ethics contains a marvellous cluster of words that act as counselors to your sign. In order they are:

Tolerance

Helpfulness

Democracy

(Intermission: Say to yourself:)

Beauty is truth. Truth beauty.

(Next the underlying value)

Non-idolatry

(This can lead to an encounter between yourself and your inner dialogue partner, higher self, Abba, etc. Its object is to tie what you have considered into an expression and/or action that tends toward truth and beauty.)

Why Is Triadic Triadic?

Because consistent with our interpretation of the Pragmatic Maxim, the entirety of our consideration will boil down now into the Third, which I call the Aesthetic. And this will be as stated Expression and Action. It will have moved three steps from Sign through Ethics to the immediate reality of the meditator, the Triadic Philosopher.

So:

Fix the first two in your mind and appreciate why we are Triadic. If we confine ourselves to the binary we are locked in a loop that repeats itself. If we move to the third we are following the continuity of the cosmos. We are co-creators. We make progress.
