In abject apathy the US waits
Watching the obvious with blinded eyes
How can we miss so many damning signs
Each day conveying harsh words to the wise

These damning signs all point to Donald Trump
A traitor-criminal who still walks free
Despising all who dare to speak the truth
And taunting all who spectate silently

In abject apathy we’re waiting still
The media continue caving in
Justice flounders in rank impotence
And losing we conclude that we can’t win

But tolerating Trump is the true crime
And only winning justice is sublime
