Is Profanity The Key to Getting Kudos on Medium?

I am no longer going to click on titles laced with profanity on Medium. I know what I mean. I mean what I say. I use Medium and will most likely continue to use it because it serves purposes I have. But I may well turn OFF email of any kind from Medium. I am simply tired of seeing well-recommended pieces which seem to thrive on obnoxious profanity as a come-on. I am as tolerant and liberated as anyone I know. And it is precisely because I am SURE that Medium and the authors know better that I bother to write this at all.
