Jesus — Things He Did Not Say
After he died, Jesus was with Abba.
Heaven is being with Abba wherever one may be. Heaven is where good and justice reign and true community exists.
After we die, we enter part of Reality we do not yet know. We can only imagine it. We can describe it by inference from our contact with those who are there.
Quite clearly Jesus, like Abba, is available to us if and when when we call out to him. The degree to which others are likewise available is an open question as even now the world is not widely awake to the probable normality of this option. There is no reason why any who are in heaven, that is to say unified, one with it, should not be able to speak with those who seek them out.
Someone named Caleb called out to Jesus, who responded: “Hello, Caleb.”
“Jesus, did you say all the things the writers say you said?”
“No Caleb. Many things I said are mentioned but much that is there is changed or simply made up.”
“What is something you did not say?”
“Some things that relate to my death. Anything that suggests vengeance or punishment or that I can or would divide people or judge them. There are legends and stories about things that never happened. Everyone is already one with Abba. There was nothing special about me, except that I believed and depended on Abba from the start. I wasn’t born in Bethlehem in a manger. I was born in Nazareth in a house.
“Can you describe how you died.”
“Yes. I died on the cross in incredible pain. My killers saw me as a blasphemer. They do not believe people are good. I definitely cried out to Abba but I did not believe I was forsaken. I wasn’t.”
“Do you believe we are good?”
“Of course. That is what life is about. Choosing to be good. Freely choosing to be good. “
“Why can’t you change the stories?”
“People are free, Caleb. They say and do what they say and do. When things are written, people believe it. We can’t intervene.”
“Why?”
“It’s not possible. You can, Caleb.”
“Should I? Tell people the writers are wrong?”
“Of course.”
“They will never believe me.”
“True. They won’t. The truth is hard to bear, Caleb. People think I am coming back to rescue them because of those words. People think I am descended from David because it is written. I have no idea who I am descended from. What I said about family is true. A true family obeys Abba. What do you think I was about, Caleb?”
“Good. About doing good.”
“Was I about taking revenge?”
“No.”
“Was I about crushing enemies?”
“No.”
“And dividing people?”
“No. Of course not.”
“Did I preach hell fire?”
“No. I guess not.”
“I didn’t. I don’t want followers either. I don’t have a throne. What would I do with a throne?”
After this conversation Caleb walked toward the center of Rome. His mind was in a state of high agitation. He wondered who he could talk to about what he had heard.
