MEDIA TAG TRUMP AS RESPONSIBLE FOR J6
Media say Trump was responsible for J6 after the first public hearing Sunday night. This will be hammered home in subsequent Committee presentations.
What strikes me as remarkable was the media’s willingness to let the Committee’s work speak for itself.
If Sunday was a sign of things to come it will be more significant than the Trump Impeachment efforts. It will essentially say that whatever J6 was — coup, insurrection, sedition, etc. — Trump and nobody else was the prime mover of the events from beginning to now. The Committee makes clear that the attack on democracy is still going strong under Trump.
The main suspense will be saved for last. I think the Committee will strongly recommend to the Department of Justice that Trump himself be indicted for his ongoing effort to reverse the voice of the people. I see this going eventually to the Supreme Court, if the DOJ prosecution results in judicial success.
