Collapse into new middle ages is unnecessary for reasons that were clear a half century ago. That is the point at which a car-oil-suburban-sprawl economy became unnecessary and counter everything we needed to survive. The failure to see this and embrace an alternative merely delays the advent of an entirely feasible and peaceful way to morph from today’s morass into a time when a few enlightened one percent folk will emerge as visionaries and the rest of us will provide support and so forth and so on. We should be happy in a way that the liberals are so bereft of solutions because the main thing that has to go are sprawl. oil, roads, and automobiles — the very world we all knew and some loved.. We need and will witness a remaking of the world.

Fortunately, it will not be impossible. It will suggest and actually be an avenue to future prosperity and a design that will enable a new form of socialism and a new form of capitalism. It will be a literal third way, melding of the redeeming features of each. It will be growth oriented — people will grow — and sustainable via basic income and population leveling when incomes are more fair.

I will offer as very rough drafts of what I am talking about a few links that will provide anyone interested with some ideas. Nothing is original. We are beyond that.
