MSNBC’s coverage of the #DemDebate is atrocious

How a channel with possibilities perishes before our closing eyes

Let it be understood that this is a reaction to a particular bit of coverage at a particular time. It is a sign however, at least to me, of how this channel has lost a capacity to transcend events to the point of viewing them with critical intelligence. This was a knee-jerk, binary fight clip that could only have been created under the imperative to take what was an oddly civil encounter and gratify what is assumed to be a public thirst to be lobotomized remotely by television.
