Trump is triumphant when he blares out that there was no collusion. I think the collusion charge is bogus. I suppose it is a matter of definition. But my thought is that Trump was already subject to enormous pressure aka blackmail that influenced him to meld his long-held belief that he could end the Cold War with a little face time with Gorby with his understanding that he was in deep trouble because of his other Russian stuff. When his casinos went belly up and he could not borrow from US banks the Russians were generous. Who knows how tangled that may remain? I do not even know if Trump is solvent. When you are too big to fail you can live on borrowed money no problem. Steele is just another word for stuff that tells and I think Russia had enough of this dirt to reiterate (if necessary) to Flynn that they owned their long term mark DJT. This may have been something that Flynn manipulated in the telling to gain the sort of footing that would have made Trump cling to him with Roy Cohn-like tenacity. Of course with his early mentor Donald cut him cold when he was dying of AIDS. In sum, I think Mark Warner is sure this is the biggest thing he will ever confront because it is as big as what I think it is. Collusion? No. Captivity? Yep. Continuing? As we speak.
