My NYT Comment that says everything I think in very few words

For fifty years I have sought with little success to establish the following:
We need to move beyond the private car and an automobile-oil economy.
We need to completely redesign our world so that architecture begins with the creation of matrixes that can contain flexible spaces and support populations of up to 10,000.. This to enable ecological measures that would actually work. And we need to move beyond divided religions to a humanistic spirituality that is nonviolent and pragmatic — based on common values of tolerance, helpfulness and democracy. I think we will face anemic growth until we begin to move beyond the present design and economy. And to a value-based universal spirituality.
