Jesus thought as deeply as he could about temptations. He ran through obvious answers in his mind.

How about running everything? Controlling everyone? Being boss of everything? Why not? Everything just as I want. Put those men in their place. That’s surely a winner.

OK.

How about superhuman capacities? Hitting someone big? Having him fly through the air like a bag of beans? Or how about jumping from in front of this house all the way to where I like to talk to Abba?

That counted too.
